I am pleased and excited to announce that I will be seeking re-election this May, for another three year term on the Board of Library Trustees. We have made great progress over the last three years, but there is still much more to accomplish.
Over the last three years, we have been fortunate to complete some major improvements to the interior of our library. The Charlotte Laven Student Center, the Reede-Weiser Circulation Desk, and work on the other downstairs rooms have combined to make our public library a more welcoming and useful place for all Hull residents. Over the next three years, I hope to take an active role in improvements to our Children's room and making sure exterior repairs are completed to keep our library standing and safe. The library is also in the process of developing a new website and a bigger social media presence. This is an initiative I strongly support, and hope to see through to the next steps. In my three years on the board so far, I've served as Clerk for a year and Chair for the last two years. Over the next three years, I hope to better inform the public about the work that our board accomplishes.
Later this week I will be headed to Town Hall to pull nomination papers for re-election. Over the next few weeks, I will be around town meeting with voters and collecting signatures to get on the ballot for the May town election. Once on the ballot, I hope the voters of Hull will give me one of their two votes for the Board of Library Trustees in the May election.
